NewNet Communication Technologies Acquires Interact to Provide IVR and Billing Solutions

NewNet (News - Alert) Communication Technologies has taken a step towards expanding its product portfolio and market focus with the acquisition of Interact. NewNet specializes in the delivery of mobility technologies. The company signed this asset purchase agreement in mid February 2013 and intends to close the deal in early March.
“Our acquisition of the Interact business will enable NewNet to provide IVR and billing solutions to service providers, enhancing our competitive position and accelerating our commercial growth,” said NewNet’s CEO, PJ Louis, in a statement. “NewNet is committed to providing best in breed products and unrivaled service and support to our global customer base.”
Interact enables organizations to improve global communications with high performance Interactive Voice Response (IVR) platforms and hosted IVR solutions along with real time charging and rating engine. The company’s Cloud Communications solution called Nimblevox provides advanced IVR features for outbound calling campaigns. The solution lowers total cost of ownership and allows businesses to bring voice and SMS applications to market with less risk.
Interact also offers SPOT media platform that allows operators to develop cutting edge communication applications. Since both Nimblevox and SPOT are cloud ready, they can be hosted in the cloud or installed at the customer premise.
